About Me

Hi, my name is Kyra, and I am delighted to have you visiting my blog.

I would like to welcome you to my world where I explore empowering books that enrich the mind by teaching helpful ways to create a fun and meaningful life on purpose.

As a stay-at-home mom and business owner, I have the privilege to work from home while being able to spend time with my family, reading, writing and enriching my mind.

When I’m not changing diapers or singing songs with the kids, I enjoy good movies & documentaries, painting paint-by-numbers, engaging in thought-provoking discussions, drinking a cup of Moka coffee with cream while reading a good book, or dancing the Bossa Nova in the kitchen with my hubby.

For the past decade, my husband, Dayán and I have invested in many online programs on self-development and have grown passionate about reading, listening and watching anything that will help us improve our well-being and understanding of how the mind works. Every morning before the kids wake up, we practice our morning workout routine, we meditate and then we sit and read a few pages from a book to each other, keeping our minds on track and focused for the day.

Putting this blog together made me realize how much I take pleasure in writing. As a kid, I was an avid diary writer and I enjoyed writing scary stories for fun. I put together my first cartoon with illustrations using each family member as a different character in a story. Years later once I started college, creative writing became non-existent. It was only after the break-up with my first relationship that I came back to it. Today, my husband and I both write in our journals and at times we read some of our past entries to each other. It’s interesting to notice the change of mindset from then to now.

Another opportunity to write was during both pregnancies, I wrote in a journal about the changes in my body, the emotions and sensations I was experiencing and how great it felt to let my thoughts go down onto paper knowing that one day I will be able to share these experiences with the kids.

For me, this blog has become an outlet for sharing my enjoyment of writing.

Concerning the topics I will be covering in this blog, please know that I am by all means NOT an expert and I am still in the process of learning and developing myself. By creating this blog, I feel it would be beneficial to share my experience with the information I’ve gathered through reading each book and hopefully give someone an insight or motivation to get started on their path.
