Rich Dad Poor Dad: An Introduction On Living A Financial Free Life

About the Book

The #1 Personal Finance book of all time, Robert Kiyosaki shares the story of his two dads: his real father, whom he calls his poor dad, ‘ and the father of his best friend, the man who became his mentor and his rich dad.’ One man was well educated and an employee all his life, the other’s education was street smarts” over traditional classroom education and he took the path of entrepreneurship; a road that led him to become one of the wealthiest men in Hawaii. Robert’s poor dad struggled financially all his life. And these two dads, these very different points of view of money, investing, and employment shaped Robert’s thinking about money. (From the publisher)

“The main reason people struggle financially is because they have spent years in school but learned nothing about money. The result is that people learn to work for money … but never to have money work for them.” – Robert Kiyosaki

The Happiness Project: What I Learned About Happiness

About the Book

Gretchen Rubin had an epiphany one rainy afternoon in the unlikeliest of places: a city bus. “The days are long, but the years are short”, she realized. “Time is passing, and I’m not focusing enough on the things that really matter.” In that moment, she decided to dedicate a year to her happiness project. In this lively and compelling account —now updated with new material by the author— Rubin chronicles her adventures during the twelve months she spent test-driving the wisdom of the ages, current scientific research, and lessons from popular culture about how to be happier. Among other things, she found that novelty and challenge are powerful sources of happiness; that money can help buy happiness, when spent wisely; that outer order contributes to inner calm; and that the very smallest of changes can make the biggest difference. Welcome readers!

Today marks the first day of the Feeling Good Books blog.

Now you may be asking, what is this blog all about?

It all started a few months ago when my husband shared a dream about writing a children’s book. The story came to him in a dream and he wrote it down as not to forget about it. Later on, we began working on the story, improving it and making it stronger and we thought: what if we were to publish this book? What would the experience be like?

Shortly afterwards, we found a Canadian self-publishing company and began the process of publishing, not just one children’s book, but three!
